I’ve already discussed 6 other tools that make it easy to insert affiliate links and tables in your blog, but I didn’t discuss these four other tools. Not all of ShareASale’s merchants will have every single one of these tools; therefore, if one of your favorite merchants does not, feel free to suggest they add these capabilities to their ShareASale affiliate network.
- Special HTML/EMAIL – Do you wish to implement ads in your newsletters? Some merchants have this option with ready HTML to insert into your newsletter.
- Widgets – Widgets usually consists of JavaScript which basically inserts tables like the one seen at the bottom of this post. Of course, merchants may not always keep them up to date. Here is a list of merchants who currently have their Widgets up to date:
- Datafeed Products – More ready made HTML for you to use in your blog posts. Search for an item you want to feature on your blog and copy paste HTML to display text, links, and images of products.
- Create Custom Links – All merchants have this particular feature. This allows you to convert a url to a page or product on the merchant’s website into an affiliate link. Example: Go to the merchant’s website, lookup your favorite item, copy the URL in the address bar, click on “Create Custom Links,” insert the URL into “Destination URL.” Click “Create Custom Link, and viola, you have your custom affiliate link. If you want to shorten the link, look next to “Create License Plate Link?” – Click the dropdown and click Yes. Easy, right?
- Video – That’s right, some merchants have uploaded videos of their products for you to insert on your blog. With pictures, links, and videos, you can write a unique blog posts about your merchants.
